Dr. Robert GlorOurSong Artistic Director (he/him/his)

The role of an Artistic Director is much more than rehearsals and conducting. Robert spends months creating concert themes, listening to other performances, carefully selecting songs and imagining the delivery of meaningful concert experiences for the chorus and our audiences. He also looks for additional opportunities to help grow the talent of OurSong and ways to share that talent and our message in the community and abroad. Robert has spent his life devoted to the art of making music.

Prior to working with OurSong, among his many accomplishments are his work as the Artistic Director of the Atlanta Feminist Women’s Chorus, developing choral programs for MCC churches, along with serving as the coordinator of K-12 Choral Music for the DeKalb County School District and the Choral Director and Fine Arts Chairperson at Chamblee High School. A native of Missouri, Robert received his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Missouri State University and a Master’s Degree in Voice Performance from Webster University. In 2007, he received his Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Music Education from Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia. Robert is an active member of several choral music associations.

Brittney Jaynes-DeanOurSong Assistant Music Director (she/her)

In addition to helping OurSong hone in on the correct notes and chords during rehearsals, Brittney also sings with us and helps design our dance moves (aka, ”choralography”).

A former member of the Atlanta Opera Chorus, Brittney has been teaching and directing choral music for 15 years and has worked in various schools and churches. Brittney recently became a certified music therapist (MT-BC) in March 2023 and acquired the designation of Neurologic Music Therapist (NMT). Brittney currently teaches middle school chorus in Cobb County, gives private lessons, and accompanies for various gigs in the Atlanta area.

Ashley HawkinsOurSong Collaborative Pianist

Ashley is excited to be joining the OurSong staff, community and vision in her first year as principal pianist. Ashley has spent over thirty years accompanying and collaborating with musicians and choirs. She graduated from Columbus State University with a degree in Music Education and has worked as a collaborative artist at both Columbus State University Schwob School of Music and LaGrange College, where she had the privilege of performing with highly talented vocalists and instrumentalists alike. Prior to her position with OurSong, Ashley has collaborated with the Young Singers of LaGrange choir school for the past 25 years. She continues to accompany various choirs, voice studios, churches and events around the Atlanta area.

In 2015 Ashley received her degree in Occupational Therapy from Brenau University, and she is currently a critical care and Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) at Grady Memorial Hospital. In her free time she enjoys traveling, hiking, and cooking.

Joseph BrewerOurSong Assistant Collaborative Pianist

Joseph Brewer is a singer, music director, and educator with over 15 years of professional experience and more than 20 years in church music. He currently serves as the Director of Music at Cannon Church where he leads the choir, orchestra, praise band, and handbell choirs. A graduate of the Schwob School of Music, Joseph has performed nationally, taught musical theatre to students K–12, and mentored several students who have gone on to perform on Broadway. Born and raised in Atlanta, he has lived and worked in Chicago, New York, and Connecticut. Joseph is married to Zack Wright, a brilliant educator and musician, and they have a seven-year-old son named Oliver.

Fun fact: As a boy soprano, Joseph played Sam in Green Eggs and Ham with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra—his first taste of combining music and storytelling, which continues to inspire his work today.

Richard has been with OurSong since 2013 as a singing member and currently serves on its board of directors. He is proud to be associated with such an incredible organization.

Richard has composed more than 100 pieces of sacred music in his 25+ years as a full time church musician and has been able to share his composing/arranging skills with OurSong on several occasions.

Mary S. HoneychurchVice President

Mary joined OurSong as a singing member in 2023 and has served on the Board  of  Directors  since 2025. She is deeply committed to advancing the chorus’s mission of visibility and inclusion through her leadership and artistic participation. A lifelong musician, she is especially excited to sing with Artistic Director Dr. Robert Glor, her former high school choir director.

Professionally, Mary is an attorney with the Atlanta office of Berry, Appleman & Leiden, where she helps corporate clients secure U.S. work authorization and permanent residence for their employees. Her expertise in immigration law reflects a strong commitment to equity, access, and thoughtful community engagement—values she brings into her service with OurSong. An active supporter of Atlanta’s arts and civic communities, Mary enjoys connecting her professional experience with her lifelong love of music to help strengthen OurSong’s reach and impact.

Chris DurbetakiSecretary

Chris is one of the founding members of OurSong joining the chorus in 2002. Music has always been a part of her life. Though she played flute and piccolo in the high school band, she didn’t start singing in a chorus until she was adult. Her love of music can be summed up by the words of Sara Teasdale in the poem, “Refuge”.

From my spirit’s gray defeat,
From my pulse’s flagging beat,
From my hopes that turned to sand
Sifting through my close-clenched hand,
From my own fault’s slavery,
If I can sing, I still am free.

For with my singing I can make
A refuge for my spirit’s sake,
A house of shining words, to be
My fragile immortality.

She proudly sings Soprano and serves on the OurSong Board of Directors as Secretary. OurSong is a refuge for her spirit.

Jon WagnerTreasurer {he/him}

Jon WagnerTreasurer {he/him}

Jon is a Miami University graduate who grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio before moving to Atlanta in 2009. He happily found a home in the tenor section of OurSong shortly after his move. Jon joined the board in 2012 and became the treasurer a few years later. He has served in that position ever since.
Jon works remotely for Worldpay, a transaction processing company based in Cincinnati. He and his partner Don live in Newnan.

Mark EtheredgeDirector (he/him)

Mark began singing with OurSong in January 2010 and first joined the Board as a member-at-large in April 2011 and served as Vice President in 2012-2013 and subsequently as President. His interest in choral music began while attending Georgia Tech, where he enjoyed singing with the Georgia Tech Chorale and also helped its growth as President and as a founding member of the Centennial Singers.

Mark has enjoyed singing with other groups in the Atlanta area, including the Colson Chorale, the Atlanta Choral Guild, and the Atlanta Gay Men’s Chorus and its ensemble group Panache. As a current Board member-at-large, Mark draws on his IT and marketing background to support marketing efforts of the chorus through our website and social media as well as providing general IT support. Mark is committed to improving the presence and success of OurSong through audience growth and community outreach.

Glenn FrankelDirector

Glenn Frankel has sung with OurSong since 2022. Hailing from snowy Buffalo, NY, Glenn has enjoyed being in choirs since he was a kid, where he also learned that he loves acting and being in musicals. From The Sound of Music and Runaways to Pippin and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, he learned that nothing beats working together with a small group of passionate people to bring music and art to their community. That is what he appreciates so much about being a part of OurSong. He’s been on the board since 2025 and enjoys using his technical skills to help support the choir’s mission and help grow its audience. When he’s not practicing his music, he’s a software designer and technical program manager for a DC-based research company. Off hours, you’ll find him out jogging, walking his dog, seeing theater with his husband, or moving plants around in his garden.

Amy Cooper OutlawDirector

Amy Cooper OutlawDirector

Dr. Amy Outlaw has had 34 year career in pharmacy, and is currently Director of Pharmacy for Lakeview Hospital. She is responsible for all aspects of pharmacy operations and licensure, patient pharmaceutical care, and student/resident precepting. She holds her doctorate from Mercer University and completed her post-doctoral studies at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. She serves as adjunct faculty at multiple universities.

Amy has previously served on the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Festival of Trees, raising over $250,000 annually as chairperson of Children’s Activities. She was appointed to two terms on the Patient Communication Committee of the United States Pharmacopeial Convention, which gave rise to numerous publications. She was Committee Chair for Boy Scout Troop 530 during a time of such huge growth that the troop split to better accommodate the members. She has served her community on the Public Arts Commission, and has volunteered with numerous community organizations.

Amy attended Wofford College on an undergraduate music scholarship, and joined OurSong out of a love for music and respect for the quality of the group’s performances. She has a continued interest in building bridges across communities and believes music is one of the most beautiful ways to communicate. She looks forward to helping further the reach of OurSong in Georgia.

LeLaina RomeroDirector

LeLaina is a singer, songwriter, certified spiritual director, community songleader, and vocal coach with a background in counseling psychology. She is part of and works alongside LGBTQ+, BIPOC / Latine / Boricua (Puerto Rican) spaces. She’s been singing in radically welcoming spiritual spaces and with community choruses over the past 20+ years. She has joyfully sung in two GALA choruses, Lavender Light Gospel Choir and OurSong Atlanta! She’s also a mama to an incredible kiddo.

Lynda has been a part of OurSong since its inception, helping write the bylaws. Currently serving as the Co-Chair of fundraising, her goal is to increase revenue necessary to grow the organization and provide more outreach opportunities through music. Lynda has valuable prior Board experience as the President of the Board of a non- profit health center in Atlanta.

D.J. ThomasDirector

DJ is thrilled to join the OurSong board as a Member at Large for the 2025-2026 season. His journey with the choir began back in 2014, and after a hiatus from 2016 to 2023 while living abroad, he is happy to be back in the tenor section.

In 2016, DJ moved to Italy, where he spent six years immersing himself in the culture. During his time there, he mastered Italian, taught English as a second language, and earned a diploma in pastry arts. After four years of working as a professional pastry chef in both Italy and Atlanta, DJ decided to pivot toward a career in healthcare. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Georgia State University, building upon his first degree in Vocal Performance and French from LaGrange College.

When he isn’t studying pathophysiology or rehearsing, DJ stays active by running and traveling. An avid linguist who hopes to tackle Arabic next, he also finds joy in cooking and sharing his expertise by teaching baking classes.

Jessica StewartDirector

Jessica joined OurSong in 2017, after a lifetime of singing and a decade of instrumental experience. Before OurSong, she sang with Harmonia and Atlanta Women’s Chorus. She is the owner/founder of Minted Accounting and brings a decade of tax and accounting experience with nonprofits and small businesses to the board.
