OurSong Atlanta is dedicated to performing high quality music while celebrating our unique LGBTQIA+ experience and our evolving place in the world.
About Us
OurSong Atlanta is an LGBTQIA+ choral group with a rich history and a strong commitment to promoting acceptance, diversity, and social justice through music. Founded in 2002, OurSong inspires hope and acceptance in our hometown of Atlanta, GA and beyond. Our repertoire spans classical, contemporary, and folk music, demonstrating significant versatility and artistic range.
We are a collective of individuals from various backgrounds, ages, cultural identities, sexual orientations, gender identities, and musical abilities. This inclusivity creates an environment where people from all walks of life can come together to create beautiful music.
In addition to our regular concert schedule, OurSong participates in community events including Pride celebrations, fundraisers, and charity events. We collaborate with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the Atlanta Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Georgia State University Opera. We were selected to perform at both Georgia and National American Choral Directors’ conferences. Additionally, performing with Hugh Jackman’s choir for his Atlanta 2019 concert at State Farm Arena, appearing in a 2018 episode of Queer Eye on Netflix, and producing three commercially available recordings are amongst our proud accomplishments.
OurSong is a member of GALA choruses and has performed in all GALA festivals since 2004. Our international appearances include Various Voices Ireland 2014, Munich 2018, and Bologna 2023, both on the festival stage and in public squares. Through song, OurSong continues to spread our message of hope, love and acceptance.
